The IP Services Tier III-Datacenter
IP Services specializes in providing complete management services for mission-critical IT application infrastructure. These applications require highly managed, reliable, secure facilities. To meet these demanding requirements, IP Services owns and operates our own Network Operations Center and Internet Datacenter in Eugene Oregon. This strategy enables IP Services to completely control the managed services environment for our customer’s and their infrastructure and applications.

Geographic Location
- IP Services Network Operations Center and datacenter is located in Eugene, Oregon. The facility is approximately 100 miles south of Portland, Oregon, 350 miles south of Seattle, Washington and 500 north of San Francisco, California.
- We are conveniently located on the northeast edge of Eugene, less than one mile from Interstate 5.
- There are multiple routes available to reach IP Services from the north, south, east, and west.
- It is about a 10-minute drive from the Eugene Airport. The airport is serviced by major airlines with direct flights to San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Denver, Los Angeles, and other major metropolitan areas.

Facility
Our tier 3 Internet Datacenter is situated on the second floor of a hardened brick and concrete facility with its own discrete steel superstructure. The facility was designed from the ground up to house our critical data infrastructure.
All our NOC administrators and engineers are network and e- business application specialists who maintain a high level of industry certification on Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, Red Hat and other Linux OS Systems as well as technical tracks as needed to align our competencies with new client requirements.
Our team is capable of advanced early problem diagnosis and resolution. In most cases incidents are resolved with less than two staff members (not endlessly escalated by inexperienced help desk staff). Senior level engineers are available, if needed for rapid fix scenarios.

Security
- Physical Security – Security is monitored by a fully integrated digital security system. Every entry and exits are covered by proximity card, contact sensor, and digital surveillance camera. Access to our core network infrastructure and datacenter is protected by camera, PIN, proximity card and biometric control (with active pulse detection).
- Video Security System – All video events are recorded by a digital video sub system and are completely indexed and event searchable. Recording to the video system is triggered by motion. A console summary of all events and exceptions is also available 24/7/365 in and out of band to NOC personnel.

Power
Our facility is served off of two diverse electrical grids within the Eugene Water & Electric Board Power Distribution System (EWEB), backed by dual diesel generators, and multiple datacenter UPS systems.
Automatic Transfer Switches are used to switch power sources from off-site municipal generated power to our on- site private diesel generation facilities transparently and without power or phase interruption.
All of our critical systems have been designed in high availability N+1 configuration to provide maximum stability and non-stop operations. Only fully protected and conditioned power is delivered to our customers. With options to provide diverse protected power via both our A Power System and our B Power System.

Cooling
Datacenter infrastructure cooling is provided by multiple independent and redundant chilled water systems, each of which includes multiple compressors.
These cooling systems control both temperature and humidity in the datacenter to make sure your servers and IT core systems remain cool and in optimal condition.

Fire Suppression
The IP Services Datacenter is protected by:
- Pre-action/dry-pipe water sprinkler system with advanced notification and monitoring
- Audible and visual fire alarms throughout
- Fire and smoke detectors
- Hand-held fire extinguishers in easy access areas throughout the building
IP Services obtains annual fire equipment inspection reports from Omlid & Swinney as evidence that all equipment is inspected on a regular basis.

Internet Connectivity
Our network facilities are engineered around a highly scalable and flexible core infrastructure. Our internet connectivity is both robust and redundant.
The datacenter is served by three diverse fiber entry and carrier paths over which we provide our customers with BGP multi-homed Internet access with multiple Internet backbone providers, including Comcast, LS Networks, AT&T, and others as well as multiple other carries that can be cross connected.

Compliance
An independent, certified third party organization reviews our operations and verifies that IP Services uses appropriate procedures and controls to service its clients and that our operational results meet or exceed its Service Level Agreements (SLAs). In other words, our SSAE SOC-2 Type II review is an independent auditors testimony that we do what we say we do.
Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 18 is used by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. This is the standard used to define how an auditor should assess the internal controls of a service organization, as they issue an audit report. Our annual SSAE SOC-2 Type II independent audit verifies that our documentation adequately describes our internal controls, which are designed to achieve specific control objectives.

The list of Audited Control Objectives includes Physical Security; Environmental Security; Backup Operations; Maintenance Operations; Information Security; Data Communications; and Disaster Planning and Recovery.
This level of audited operations gives IP Services clients confidence that we follow specific procedures and controls to optimize results for our clients IT systems.Furthermore, our stringent audit certifications may reduce the ongoing audit cost of our clients when they need to demonstrate their IT organization’s compliance with various government regulations.
